Shown in the L.H. landing light is a very small light bulb...It's fun to ask the new pilots what this very small bulb is for... The history is that during the big war the DC-3 was called into service by the USA.. The C-47 flew overseas in formation with other planes. So this small bulb is a FORMATION LIGHT. Now the German subs cannot see them.
