Women in Aviation...In WW-2 the women flew and pulled the sleeve for us teen agers to shoot at to score in training..Can you fathom her job.

Women in Aviation: The Real-Life Rosie the Riveters "In 1941 only 1% of aviation employees were women, while this year they will comprise an estimated 65% of the total." LIFE Magazine, August 9, 1943 Image Blocked Open now until May In recognition of Women's History Month the CR Smith Museum presents "Women in Aviation: The Real-Life Rosie the Riveters." This collection of photographs from the Library of Congress depicts the women who went to work in the aviation production plants during World War II. The images depict women, from various backgrounds and in plants across the country, stepping into the jobs that had been done by a predominantly male work force Most of the photographs were captured in dramatically lit Kodachrome color imagery by Alfred T. Palmer as part of his work for the Office of War Information. The exhibition will be on display through May.
