Uli,Our new Executive Director. She starts 23 March 2016

Hi Volunteer Crew! I have some exciting news to report! I just received an official email from management at AA that they have announced our new Executive Director for the museum. I’d like to ask each of you to help us welcome her to the museum. Her first day will be March 23rd. I will try and introduce her to each crew at the start or at least towards the beginning of the shift! She will be located in Jay’s office downstairs by the break area. We are all very excited to finally have a new director and this is going to be an exciting for the museum! J Here is the message from AA management announcing the news: I am thrilled to share the news with you that we have hired a new Executive Director to lead the museum. Uli Sailer Das begins on March 23rd. Uli worked at a consulting firm early in her career where she was assigned projects like strategic turnarounds of opera houses, a large jazz performance organization and other philanthropic efforts. It was through this work that she began an affection for the nonprofit world and soon ended up at the American Museum of Natural History in New York as their director of Global Business Development & Strategy/director of Research & Strategy. After seven years there, the American Museum of Natural History asked her to relocate to the Midwest as their Inaugural Executive Director for a new start up science and education museum called the Museum at Prairiefire outside of Kansas City. Her vast experience in developing strategy, educational programs, fundraising infrastructure, volunteer programs and community outreach make her a perfect fit to take the C.R. Smith to new heights in the coming years. Uli is relocating with her husband and two children from Missouri to the DFW area.
