Dime riveted underneath just forward of tail light.

Thanks DON for the fantastic Story.
You may have heard the story but if not here goes.
Some time ago a man comes into the museum and I was down near the DC3 and he tells me the story about the manufacturing of the plane. He went on to say that the employees at DOUGLAS would rivet a dime to the underside of the plane "in the event they bought the farm" and survived they would have a dime to make a phone call. All I could do was nod. When he departed I crawled under the tail and sure enough there was the dime.
